Lesson on various truffle types and searching techniques
Truffle hunting with Lagotto Romagnolo dogs trained in our woods
Truffle lunch or dinner
What we will do:
We will welcome you to our farm, nestled in the green hills of Chianti where you will get to know 3 talented Lagotto Romagnolo truffle dogs Bia, Billo and Ciccina; after a coffee together, we will explain which types of truffles we can find and the different truffle seasons. We will then walk in our woods around our farm where you can admire the beauty of the surrounding nature and the skills of our trained dogs. We will return home where a lunch of vegetables and local produce will be ready; we will clean the truffles together and taste them paired with antipasti, Chianti Classico wine, homemade pasta and final tiramisu. Come and try ... you will be welcome!
We will host you on our farm near the town of Mercatale in Val di Pesa. Our farm is a beautiful place with an unbeliveble landscape, where you can take beautiful photos.

Meet your host, Daniela
My family was born here in Chianti, and we have always appreciated truffles—the treasures of this land. I love to cook, and my husband is an expert winemaker. My son, Edoardo, is a composer, and his grandfather, Giuseppe, is a professional truffle hunter and member of the Tuscan Truffle Hunters Association. My husband and I will prepare the food and wine, and Edoardo and Giuseppe will show you how to find truffles in our woods.
Things to know:
- Guests must be of legal drinking age to be served alcohol.
- Guests ages 2 and up can attend, up to 6 guests in total. Parents can also bring children under 2 years of age.
Cancellation policy
Cancel up to 7 days before the Experience start time for a full refund, or within 24 hours of booking as long as the booking is made more than 48 hours before the start time.
